you are and aren’t

walking down the street in nowhere,
the sun is shining on nothing,
the nations are painted green and hung out to dry,
the depressed wives are hiding behind the mountain.
Christmas will never arrive again.
walking down a dark room with 5 walls.
drinking at fountains of bean soup.
thinking about nothing terrible or nothing good.
throwing a bicycle over your shoulder.
shouting your name in a shower over and over again.
never dreaming of being lost.
never sleeping to awake.
never looking at a pool table.
walking down the street in nowhere.
the sun is shining on nothing.
the sun is shining in nowhere.
the sun is walking down the street.
look at the cracks in the sidewalk.
look at the cracks in the sidewalk.
down in there.
down in there.
it’s your face.
looking up.
looking out.
at nothing.
