I’ll take it all…

so many I know have quit drinking.
“lost my home… lost my job… lost my
mind… lost my health… my wife left
me…”

I’ve been drinking for 5 decades and I
feel fine:   I do my best work when I’m
drunk, and if I died at this moment
I’d have no regrets about
the huge amounts of swill
I’ve consumed

but I don’t recommend this course for
every mortal

it’s just like as if somebody asked me
to walk across some hot coals
just because he did
I’d tell him to take a trip to
Hades.

you leave the booze to me,
boys, and some of the
girls, that kind of hell
I’m built for.
