an evaluation

oh yes, I’m a good guy,
as soon as the toilet paper roll
gets down fairly low,
I’ll take it out and replace
it
with a full fat roll.
I don’t live
alone,
but I am aware
that the sudden emergence
of that dark blank
cardboard
can jinx a tender mood
or slide a curse
against the cool enamel
walls.

good guys are needed in
a more than difficult
world.
